About GOC London Country Walks

GOC London Country Walks organises a day walk on the 2nd Sunday of each month and occasionally an evening walk from May-September.

Day walks start & finish at a railway station, normally about an hour's journey from London and are usually between 8-12 miles long. Lunch is most often in a pub or cafe - though occassionally you are asked to bring along a packed lunch - full details are circulated beforehand.

Typically, between 12 -20 people turn up with a wide age range and from a variety of backgounds.

Visitors to London are welcome, as are non-members living in the London area, who want to try us out a few times before deciding to join.

The evening walks start at 6:30 from a tube station in central London, lasting about 2 hours, often rounded off by a meal or pub visit.

For details of forthcoming walks, see the Events page. See also the 2008 Programme for the year's highlights.
